Godiva Natural Skincare Works in Just Seven Days!

Posted on 02:07 by thinger
On March 11 , Mommy Lani of Mommy Bloggers Philippines posted this on our group's Facebook Page:

"Hi Mommies, we have a new project at hand -- Godiva Skincare. Anyone whose interested to try Godiva Skincare products will be given Godiva skincare products for sampling. Click below and fill out asap the form on our page if you're interested. At least 10 slots are available. Will send you an email when you are chosen as participant." http://mommybloggersphilippines.com/2014/03/11/godiva-natural-skin-care/

I have uneven skin tone from head to toe, dark areas especially on my knees, underarms, and under the eyes, and also dry, cracked heels. They give me some problems for a very long time.

Without any hesitation, I clicked the link to the article at www.mommybloggersphilippines.com and immediately filled-up the form to join the project. Godiva chose 10 lucky participants and I was blessed to be one of them.

On March 21, I received the complete line of Godiva Natural Skincare. I was so excited to start the challenge of using the products and seeing the difference on my skin after two weeks!

March 23 was the first time I used all the products. Honestly, it was love at first use!

As stated on the form, I promised to write my review about the products after two weeks. But I couldn't hide my gladness and excitement to share my experience after using it in just seven days!

Let me share with you my experience with Godiva Natural Skincare:

*BODY CARE

Godiva LicoWhite™ Whitening Soap

Claims: Cleanses and whitens as it evens out skin discolorations. A gentle, non-drying cleanser enriched with Glabridin from licorice for brighter, fairer skin. It has high levels of whitening ingredients for faster results. Safe for continued use for longer-lasting whiter skin.

Directions: Wash body and lather on to skin. Rinse thoroughly. For best results follow with LicoWhite™ Lotion with SPF15.

Expiration Date: 2 years after manufacturing

Price: Php 69.00 (135 g) and Php 35.00 (65 g)

Color: transparent

Consistency: solid

Scent: very strong, reminds me of cinnamon

In my opinion...

PROS- My skin feels so smooth, soft, supple, and silky after initial use. As days pass, I notice that my skin becomes tout after every use. The very strong scent fades as I lather it. It leaves a clean, fresh scent on my skin after rinsing. I stay fresh all day even if the weather is hot.

CONS- It's non-foaming when I don't use loofah or face towel. I am just used to other soaps that are sudsy, I guess.

Rating: 4/5

Godiva LicoWhite™ Whitening Lotion with SPF15

Claims: Its helps even out skin discolorations caused by age, scarring and pregnancy. It provides sun protection as it moisturizes to keep skin soft and smooth. It contains Glabridin, a powerful skin whitening ingredient from licorice extract that is both effective and gentle to the skin. It is safe for continued use for longer-lasting whiter skin.

Expiration Date: 2 years after manufacturing

Directions: Apply morning and evening on body, arms, and legs. For best results, use with LicoWhite™ Soap. For face, neck and other body parts use LicoWhite™ Cream.

Price: Php 132.00

Color: white

Consistency: creamy

Scent: Hint of floral and baby powder like the scent of Classic Tender Care Soap

In my opinion...

PROS- It smells like fresh cut grass as I apply it on my skin but eventually leaves a refreshing floral/baby powder scent that stays longer. It's non-greasy and it's perfect to use this summer. It glides on smoothly. My skin feels smooth and soft longer. I always make sure to apply it right after drying when I take a bath or shower. It also helps in healing my cracked heels.

CONS- I wish its SPF is much higher than 15 for more potent protection against the sun's ultraviolet rays.

Rating: 4/5

Godiva LicoWhite™ Whitening AntiPerspirant Deodorant

Claims: Contains Glabridin from licorice. It has high levels of whitening ingredients to lighten dark underarms faster. Safe for continued use for longer-lasting whiter skin.

Expiration Date: 3 years after manufacturing

Directions: Tip bottle upside down. Roll on underarm. Let dry before dressing.

Price: Php 89.00

Color: transparent

Consistency: creamy

Scent: unscented

In my opinion...

PROS- I admit that my underarms become somewhat darker due to shaving. In seven days, I could see the difference. The pores become smaller and the skin lightens a bit. I like it when it dries up already. My underarms are non-greasy and very, very dry.

I tested its antiperspirant and deodorant powers. I still smelled fresh and my underarms stayed dry despite the summer heat. I also tried its efficiency after 24 hours. It  stayed!

CONS- It glides on smoothly but it takes a little longer to dry. I have to stay in front of the fan just to hasten the drying process before I dress up. I wish it has a stick/solid version.

Rating: 3/5

*FACE CARE

Godiva LicoWhite™ Whitening Facial Wash

Claims: It has Glabridin from licorice that helps brighten skin as it cleanses. Its low-foaming, soap-free formula moisturizes while it gently and thoroughly cleanses the skin, leaving it with a softer, smoother glow. Effective for all skin types and safe for continued use for longer lasting whiter skin.

Expiration Date: 3 years after manufacturing

Directions: Apply on wet skin and gently massage in a circular motion. Rinse thoroughly. For best results, use with LicoWhite™ Toner and LicoWhite™ Cream.

Price: Php 85.00

Color: white

Consistency: creamy

Scent: boarders from mild herbal scent to unscented

In my opinion...

PROS- It's low foaming because it's soap free. I was doubtful at first if it could do the best cleaning action. After washing my face and neck, my skin felt clean, fresh, and glowing! When I applied LicoWhite™ Toner, the cotton had no traces of dirt. I also tried using it without using make-up remover to eliminate the powder on my face. When I used the toner,  faint traces of powder were present. That proved that this facial wash was an effective cleanser without leaving the skin dry.

Rating: 5/5

Godiva LicoWhite™ Whitening Facial Toner

Claims: It is the whiter way to even out your skin tone. It moisturizes as it cleanses and is ideal for normal to dry skin. It's safe for continued use for longer-lasting whiter skin.

Expiration Date: 3 years after manufacturing

Directions: Moisten cotton pad and gently wipe over face and neck. For best results use with LicoWhite™ Facial Wash and LicoWhite™ Cream.

Price: Php 89.00

Color: transparent

Consistency: liquid

Scent: strong

In my opinion...

PROS- Wow! My pores become smaller and tighter. It effectively removes dirt left after using LicoWhite™ Whitening Facial Wash.

I found the scent strong at first but it faded to mild citrus to unscented when applied on skin.

It  doesn't make my skin dry. I always put only 6-10 drops on a cotton ball and apply on face and neck. I make sure not to rub the cotton on my skin. I just swipe it gently to avoid irritations.

Godiva LicoWhite™ Whitening Facial Cream

Claims: It helps even out skin discolorations caused by age, scarring, pregnancy or overexposure to the sun. It is 100% fragrance free and is safe for continued use for longer-lasting whiter skin.

Expiration Date: 2 years after manufacturing

Directions: After cleansing and toning, gently massage in circular motion on face, neck, underarm, and other dark areas.

Price: Php 120.00

Color: white

Consistency: creamy

Scent: unscented

In my opinion...

PROS- My face and neck feel very smooth, tout, supple, and moisturized. Only pea size for the face and another pea size for the neck are needed otherwise they will feel greasy. I am planning to use it on my knees too to hasten their whitening.

CONS for LicoWhite™ Toner and LicoWhite™ Facial Cream- I noticed during the first three days that there was a tingling sensation around my face and neck when I applied the toner and facial cream. I observed for signs of irritation, redness, or burning but I didn't see any so I continued using both. I didn't experience it again from the fourth day until now.I wonder why LicoWhite™ Facial Cream has no Sun Protection Factor (SPF)?

Rating (Toner): 4/5

Rating (Facial Cream): 4/5

Synthesis: I am loving Godiva Natural Skincare! It evens out my skin tone and lightens my skin in just seven days! My skin feels moisturized, fresh, clean, tout, and supple.

I even noticed the difference on my skin's integrity the first time I used the products.

I observe that Face Care works faster than Body Care. Well, whitening doesn't happen overnight so I am looking forward to see more of its wonders after weeks of continuous usage. I recommend that you use all products twice daily for best results.

See the difference. I took these photos at exactly 10:00 AM on March 23 and 30 respectively. There is a big change on my facial skin tone in just seven days of using Godiva Face Care! My dark eye circles and pimple marks are almost gone. My pores are  smaller now. I also notice that I have no white heads already.

I was surprised when I saw these photos! I couldn't believe it!My mom and hubby also noticed the changes. Take note, these photos were unedited, mommies! Now I can skip using concealer and BB cream on my make-up routine.

My knees are now whiter after seven days of using Godiva Body Care.

The packaging is very simple , neat, and spill-free. The size of all products are just right and can be perfect for traveling too. All the necessary information about the products are written on the packaging---claims, directions, ingredients, manufacturer, manufacturing date, and expiration date.

The products have superior quality and very, very affordable. They can compete with the leading beauty and whitening products in the market today. They last longer because you only need a small amount for every use which means real value for money.

Aside from their availability on SM Department Stores, SM Supermarkets, Save More, and Watsons Stores nationwide, they can be purchased online at http://www.godivaskin.com.ph/ for international customers and  http://www.facebook.com/GodivaNaturalSkinCare/app_177640668938116 for local customers.

The pros outweigh the cons. I recommend all the above-mentioned products if you want to look fairer safely and naturally!

About Godiva Natural Skincare

The problem with most whitening products is that once you stop using it, you are back to your normal kin color. Well, that's not the case anymore. Not with the new Godiva Natural Skincare that is. Its range uses the proven power of licorice in effectively and safely whitening the skin. Extracted from one of nature's most effective skin whiteners-licorice root extract- Godiva gives you white that truly lasts.

Godiva works wonders in lightening skin blemishes like pimple scars, freckles, age spots, and melasma because of licorice which is ten times more powerful than vitamin C (PMG), sixteen times more effective than hydroquinone, and thirty times more active than melawhite and kojic acid.

Licorice is absolutely safe. It has been used for hundreds of years as food additive and flavouring. The Philippine Bureau of Food and Drug (BFAD) has also approved Godiva products with licorice after local clinical trials showed no incidence of irritation, allergy or redness.

Godiva is safe for pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.

Godiva Natural Skincare is manufactured for Godiva Inc.- Tao Corporate Center, 2291 Don Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City 1231.
