REVIEW + INTERNATIONAL GIVEAWAY: Smile Brilliant! LED Teeth Whitening System

Posted on 15:06 by thinger
When Mr. Mike Bluestone, Chief Brand Officer, www.smilebrilliant.com contacted me to try and write a review about Smile Brilliant! LED Teeth Whitening System, I didn't hesitate to accept the opportunity. Who doesn't want a perfect pearly white teeth, right?

I have yellowish teeth and the discoloration became worse when I started drinking tea or coffee daily in 2006.

While waiting for the parcel, I asked my dentist during my last visit if I could try it. I haven't tried any other  teeth whitening procedures or products before. Unfortunately she didn't allow me to use it or any other whitening systems since I have some crowns. She said that my teeth's color is fine and all she could do is have them cleaned every six months. I became a little sad but I could still let my husband try it and see how it would work on him.

Hector has perfect teeth (Thanks to my mom-in-law's TLC!). His smoking habit a few years ago and coffee drinking has left some traces of discoloration. He is very much willing to try and test it.

But before I let Hector start the teeth whitening process using this product, it is very important to understand what the tooth is made of first.

There are two layers outside the pulp of the tooth: DENTIN, the inner layer and ENAMEL, the outer layer. The PELLICLE LAYER is a foreign third layer that covers our teeth when we eat, drink, or smoke. It's the slimy coating on our teeth when we haven't brushed in a few days.

A visit to the dentist every six months and good oral hygiene can eliminate most of the films caused by caffeine or nicotine but much of it still seeps into our teeth through the enamel because it is porous. Tooth whitening sends a bleaching chemical, either cabramide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide, down into the enamel's pores to cause oxidation reaction that breaks down the stains.

Smile Brilliant claims that...

Smile Brilliant! LED Teeth Whitening System  is perfect for those who want great tooth whitening results but are on a budget. Its LED system is competitively priced when compared to popular whitening strips sold at your local grocer; however, it is far more effective due to its 22% carbamide peroxide tooth whitening gel and high strength LED light which accelerates the whitening process. With hundreds of reviews available on the internet and thousands of satisfied customers, our LED teeth whitening system is a superior alternative to over-the-counter whitening products.

DIRECTIONS

OTHER FACTS

- Pregnant or nursing women should consult their doctor prior to using any teeth whitening product.

- If you have untreated cavities when the bleaching agent comes in contact with the cavity, extreme tooth sensitivity can occur. Be sure to consult with your dentist prior to treating this area.

- One tooth whitening pen contains 4 ml of 22% carbamide peroxide bleaching gel. If you only whiten your front teeth there should be enough gel for 5-8 applications.

- Smilebrilliant.com ships internationally.

HOW HUBBY USED IT

Aside from following the directions above, he left the LED light in his mouth for 40 minutes and 1 hour more for the gel and protective tray.

He plans to repeat the procedure every other day until his teeth are perfectly white!

In my opinion...

Smile Brilliant! Led Teeth Whitening System is definitely an affordable, convenient, hassle-free, mess-free, pain-free,  and safe teeth whitening solution that can be done in the comforts of our home.

Hector said that the protective trays were comfortable to use. He didn't experience any discomfort nor sensitivity when the gel was applied on his teeth. He was amazed to see the difference after initial use. His teeth lightened.

The photos may not show distinct changes but actual results show that the product works.

The Teeth Whitening Gel Pen is filled with Carbamide Peroxide that can be used longer!

By the way, I invite you to watch THIS VIDEO to convince you more that the product really works!

Kuya's Grooming Kit Essentials

Posted on 04:04 by thinger
Letting your child bring his own grooming kit in school is highly encouraged due to unforeseen incidents that might happen like spillage, excessive sweating after playing, etc.

Moms should know the basic items to be found in their child's grooming kit. All these could be placed in a shoe box or clear plastic box (if teachers want their pupils to leave them in their classroom) or expandable plastic envelope (if it is obliged to be brought home daily).

1 extra set of uniform
2 white shirt
3 undergarments
4 socks
5 handkerchief
6 face towel
7 tissue paper
8 wipes
9 alcohol/hand sanitizer
10 liquid soap
11 cologne
12 baby powder
13 mosquito repellent lotion/patch
14 comb
15 toothbrush
16 toothpaste
17 washable plastic bag for soiled clothes

How I Keep Them Organized

1 I place them in three separate zip lock plastic bags or small clear pouches per category before putting them inside the shoe box, clear plastic box, or expandable plastic envelope.

Category A (Clothing) extra set of uniform, white shirt, undergarments, socks, handkerchief, plastic bag for soiled clothes

Category B (for Washing) face towel, tissue paper, wipes, liquid soap

Category C (for Grooming) alcohol/hand sanitizer, cologne, baby powder, mosquito repellent lotion, comb, toothbrush, toothpaste

2 Choose travel size items for them not to consume too much space in your child's locker, cubbyhole, or school bag. Just remind your child to inform you when items are needed to be replenished.

3 Label all items with your child's name, grade, section, and school.

4 Tell your child to take care of his grooming kit by storing it properly and keeping items in their right pouches after each use.

5 Remind your child to bring home his soiled clothing if there's any. Don't forget to replace it the day after.

Optional Items

cologne, baby powder, mosquito repellent lotion/patch
I don't recommend cologne and baby powder for kids who have allergies or asthma. Mosquito repellent lotions/patches are for older children who are very attractive to mosquitoes like my son. Make sure that your child is responsible and old enough to know how to use them properly. Just to be safe, you may apply the lotion or place the patch on your child's clothing before he leaves.

Recommended Products

I recommend these products because they were "tried and tested" by yours truly and I found them very effective.

They are made from natural products that's why they are safe for kids. You may purchase them in leading department stores, outlets or dealers near you, and online too. Click product name to see its details and/or claims.

This weekend, prepare your child's grooming kit if he has none yet. This helps him form a habit of proper hygiene and good grooming.

How to Cut My Own Child's Hair Safely and Easily

Posted on 02:30 by thinger
My youngest child is very fidgety since birth and I find it inadvisable to bring him to the barber to do his hair cut.

I had to cut his hair while he was asleep using ordinary pair of scissors but it was messy and I couldn't get a desirable outcome.

My habit of visiting Japan Home Centre led me to discover a tool that would help me solve the tediousness of cutting my son's hair.

I saw this Php 88.00 HAIR CUTTER and I didn't even think twice. I bought it instantly. I immediately used it to cut my child's hair the next day and it worked!

This Hair Cutter from Japan Home Centre is one of my best buys! It costs only Php88.00. Would you believe that I use this to cut my youngest son's hair for almost three years already?

HAIR CUTTER'S PACKAGING- Front View

HAIR CUTTER'S PACKAGING- Back View

I would like to give you some tips on how to use this Hair Cutter especially when cutting an active child's hair:

1. You have to do hair cutting during bath time. Fill baby's bath tub with warm water. Make sure that it's not too hot by checking the temperature using your elbows.

2. Have a spare basinful of warm water and a water dipper beside you for rinsing your child after soaping him.

3. Place a small basinful of water where you will put cut hair and wash them off the Hair Cutter.

4. Keep your child's favorite bath time toys readily available to make him busy while you're doing his hair cut. Be sure to have more spare toys on hand. Give those toys one at a time just in case your child gets easily distracted.

5. You may sing lullabies to divert your child's attention too.
It will take you 20-30 minutes to completely shave off your child's hair and 10-15 minutes if you just want a trim.

6. You would notice that your child's bath tub is filled with hair. Do the usual bathing routine--wash his hair and body, then use the spare warm water to rinse him.

7. Dry your child, groom him, and let him enjoy his new hair cut.

Remember to...

1. Dispose hair properly.

Don't flush hair in the toilet bowl or leave it on your sink. Just drain water from the basin and wrap hair on a newspaper and throw it in a bin for biodegradable stuff.

2. Wash and air dry the Hair Cutter thoroughly before storing it back to its packaging to make it last for a long time and for the blade to stay sharp and rust-free.

Why do I love this product so much?

PROS:
1. Blades are safe for both kids and adults. They are made not to cut you unecessarily.

2. The handle is easy to grip and slip-free.

3. The long blade may be used just to trim hair while the short one to completely shave the hair off.
Short and long blades for comparison

4. It helps you save money.

In a salon for kids who have experts in handling different types of kids for their hair cut, the amount ranges from Php250.00-  300.00 per session. I used Japan Home Center's Hair Cutter 10 times already! Imagine the amount of money I saved!

Php250.00 x 10 = Php2,500.00 (amount of hair cut in 10 visits to the salon) - Php88.00 (amount of Hair Cutter)= Php2,412.00  + transportation expenses (amount I saved for almost three years)

4. It gives me confidence to cut my son's hair without hurting him or being hurt myself because the product is safe and it works!

CONS:

Availability is just my concern. I remember going to different branches just to purchase this for my niece.  Most of those branches don't sell this, have limited stocks, or always out of stock.

If you want to purchase this Hair Cutter and enjoy its benefits, just visit any branch of Japan Home Centre.
