Pandesal Ensaymada and Biscocho Recipe

I'm back! It took me two weeks to blog again. I would like to start it off with an easy recipe to make cooking of busy moms like me hassle-free.

Ensaymada and Biscocho are two of my favorite Pinoy snacks. I made recipes of these two that would only take you 30 minutes or less to prepare. You only need four ingredients: PANDESAL, MARGARINE or BUTTER, CONDENSED MILK, and grated CHEDDAR CHEESE. You may also use any plain white bread instead of pandesal.

Procedure

1. Preheat oven toaster for 5 minutes.

2. Cut pandesal into half.

3. Soak one side of cut pandesal in condensed milk for a while. Be sure to lift bread immediately to avoid making it soggy.

4. Let the pandesal absorb the condensed milk. When it's done, spread margarine or butter on top.

5. ENSAYMADA: Generously sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese; BISCOCHO: Don't put cheddar cheese on top. Bake immediately after doing step 4.

6. ENSAYMADA: Toast for 5-10 minutes or until the cheese melts; BISCOCHO: Toast for 5-10 minutes or until slightly brown.

7. Serve while hot. For ENSAYMADA: Top it again with grated cheddar cheese before serving to make it tastier and more special
