Carmex Moisture Plus Lip Balm- Peach Sheer Tint: A Reliable Solution to Chapped Lips

Posted on 10:39 by thinger
My lips get dry easily even though I drink lots of water. A lip balm is still the best aid for me. My day will not pass without using a lip balm. I admit, I am a lip balm addict and I can't live without it!

I tried so many brands but all of them failed! Good thing that I found the right product that suits me !

Product Description

Satin gloss finish. Vitamin E + aloe moisturizing protection. SPF 15. Slant tip. We don't think you need to sacrifice function to be fashionable. That's why we came up with new Carmex Moisture Plus ultra hydrating lip balm. It comes in a sleek, slant tip applicator that looks fabulous and works even better. It's formulated with Vitamin E, Aloe, Shea butter and SPF 15 to penetrate, moisturize and protect your lips. Use under or over lipstick, or of course, the satin gloss finish looks great by itself - keeping your lips soft, supple and smooth. For over 70 years, the Woelbing family has been making Carmex lip balm. Tested on family members - never on animals! It soothes. It heals. It protects.

Directions

Apply liberally before sun exposure and as needed. Children under 6 months of age: ask a doctor before use.

Ingredients

Active Ingredients: Octinoxate (6%) Oxybenzone (5%). Inactive Ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract (Aloe Butter), Beeswax, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit, C10-30 Cholesterol/Lanosterol Esters, Camphor, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera Oil, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Flavor, Isopropyl Palmitate, Lecithin, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Meadowfoam Delta-Lactone, Menthol, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil Unsaponifiables, Ozokerite, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Paraffin, Persea Gratissima (Avocado Butter), Phenol, PPG-3 Benzyl Ether Myristate, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Saccharin, Sorbitan Isostearate, Tocopherol Linoleate (Vitamin E), Tribehenin.

In My Opinion...

I like Carmex Moisture Plus Lip Balm- Peach Sheer Tint because it easily heals my dry and chapped lips compared to other brands that I tried before. It is easily absorbed by my lips and stays for hours keeping them moisturized and smooth without a waxy, greasy feel. The peach tint fits me and gives just right color to my pale lips. I could wear it without putting lipstick on top. I love its vanilla flavor with the hint of mint! Yum!
It is sleek, small, and slant that I can apply the product on my lips without using a mirror. It also provides sun protection (SPF15).
It is very affordable and I recommend this product! Carmex is true to its words!
I am also excited to try other variants soon (CLEAR, PINK, BERRY, and PLUM).

My Two Year Old Son's Favorite Alphabet You Tube Videos

Posted on 20:54 by thinger
My 20 month old son learned all the letters of the alphabet when he was still 15 months old. He wasn't able to say them clearly because he was not yet able to talk properly but he was trying his best to learn.

Now he is still fixated with the alphabet. He likes to watch alphabet videos everyday upon waking up until noon time aside from his other favorite videos like Hi-5 and Little Einsteins.

The following are three of his favorite alphabet You Tube videos aside from the episodes from Brainy Baby and Alphabubblies. I am so glad he likes them because the following videos are varied, not just the typical alphabet songs. Hope these help your babies learn too, Mommies!

The appearance of our eyebrows may break or unbreak our make-up. These videos helped me a lot in grooming my very unruly eyebrows. I used to over pluck them before. Hope these help you too.

Red Lips

Posted on 15:11 by thinger
Another stressful day has ended! This is one of my so called "TRYING HARD" activities :)

Whenever I'm stressed, I apply make-up and make my own version of some celebrities' looks. Well, this is my own version of Anne Curtis' signature look.

Red lip color compliments Anne's asset---her lips. I just wanted to try if red lips would suit me.

Please bear with me, I am not a professional make-up artist nor photographer.

Products Used:

Skin- Artistry Balancing Moisturizer, Artistry Balancing Liquid Foundation- Soleil, Artistry Face Powder- Soleil
Eyebrows- ELF Brow Cream
Eyes- ELF matte eye shadow (light and dark brown), Artistry Waterproof Mascara
Lips- Avon Flamenco Red
Contouring cheeks and nose- Elf bronzer

Experts say to use a lip brush for bold lip colors to have a flawless finish.

Tone down the eye color and use a bold lip color when you want your lips to get noticed.

I love Anne Curtis! Hope I gave justice to her look in my own simple way :)

My First Wing Eye Make-Up

Posted on 01:53 by thinger
First time to do wing eye make-up on my rest time! What a kikay way to spend 10 minutes of Friday the 13th!

7-13-12
I am not a pro in make-up but I love experimenting on it. It is my passion. I am dreaming that one day I can pursue a career as a make-up artist. Sabi nga, wala naman masamang mangarap! What I do is to find inspiration on photos then I apply what I see. I do it with my own personal touch. I usually do this during my free time, when I'm done with all the household chores, or while my son is taking a nap. This is my form of relaxation or destressor. I always tell my friends, whenever I post photos like this, that means I'm stressed already!

Some name this technique winged eyeliner, eye wings, or, like me, wing eye make-up!

This is one of my favorite eyeliners- E.L.F. Waterproof Eyeliner Pen! I used this on the my wing eye make-up!

Other Products Used:

Skin- Artistry Balancing Moisturizer, Artistry Balancing Liquid Foundation, Artistry Face Powder
Eye brows- Kohl's Eye Brow Pencil- Sable
Eyes- Ever Bilena matte eyeshadow palette- shade:Grapefruit/Peach, Artistry Waterproof Mascara-black
Lips- Natasha Glam and Glide Lip Gloss- English Rose
Contouring Cheeks and Nose- Ever Bilena brown eye shadow (I didn't have a bronzer yet when I did this!), Careline Blush- Rosy Cheeks

I got the photo below from Props Cosmetics Facebook Page.

You may follow these steps to make yours flawless...

Creating A Memorable But Affordable Anniversary Present

Posted on 11:21 by thinger
My husband and I celebrated our 8th Wedding Anniversary last June.

I thought of a different but affordable way to show my love and appreciation to him.

He was so good to me after all these years. He deserved to have something special on our special day! I didn't like to spend it the usual way like going out for dinner, buying ordinary presents, etc.

What I did was, I thought of giving my husband presents that would fit his personality and would make him feel more special, loved, and appreciated.

He likes reading novels. But buying paper backs are so expensive nowadays. We have bins and piles of books already and I want him to read anytime, anywhere with his e-tablet. I don't want him to bring too many books at work although real books are much better than e-books. I would like to make it different for a change!

I thought of sending him e-books that he would surely love. I sent my favorite online seller, Sweet and Sparkle (a.k.a. Christine Pioquinto), a personal message of my intention of purchasing several e-books that were found on her other online shop at Facebook, Tin-Tin's Ebook Story.

The following were the e-books that I chose and were sent directly to my e-mail address. I was the one who sent them to my husband's e-mail address on the day of our anniversary.

I also contacted my favorite personalized chocolate maker, Miss Weng San Pedro of O' Chocolates  to make these special and yummy alphabet chocolates and have them delivered right on my hubby's work place on or before our anniversary!

When my husband received my presents, he called me immediately and expressed how happy he was! His co-teachers even helped him figure out the message written in the chocolates. He did not see the photo Miss Weng provided! He said that he was really surprised and that moment was really unforgettable! He also liked the e-books but would still find time reading them all.

I was so glad that my husband liked my presents. He really deserved special treatment!  Definitely this would make the love more alive between us!

Our anniversary would not be special without the help of  my friends, Miss Tin-Tin and Miss Weng! :)

Ten Ways on How to Destress

Posted on 09:43 by thinger
I am a stay-at-home mom for seven years. I do the household chores, take care of all my family's needs at the same time maintaining a home-based business. We don't have a helper. I chose not to hire one because I am not comfortable of having one. Since I was young I was trained to do things on my own. I also want my kids to be independent like me.

It is very natural and usual on my part that sometimes I feel stressed especially when my job as a mom and mompreneur become so demanding. I don't even notice that I become so engrossed with my duties that I forget to give myself time. I experience becoming so irritable.  To be very honest, there are times that I feel so ugly, haggard, and sad with unknown reason. There was also a time when I had displacement of anger.

The last time I felt so stressed, I made it a point to list down the things that I should do just to give "LOVE" to myself. As the saying goes, we give something that we have. How I can I show love to my family & friends if I don't even love myself? How I can my loved-ones be happy if I am unhappy, right?

These are the ten diversionary activities that I do in order to destress.

1. ME TIME
A 20 minute bath, applying make-up to try a new look, drinking coffee alone, and going to the supermarket on my own when the kids are asleep are my usual Me Time activities.

2. READ
There was a time when I felt guilty when I opened and started to read a book!  This should not be the case!
When I started reading again, it made me feel empowered knowing that I had something new to discover and learn aside from the routines that I do everyday.

3. WRITE
Writing my thoughts on a journal and blogging helps me relax whenever I feel angry, tired, or sad after a long day especially when the kids are so demanding and naughty! Reading my journal entries makes me laugh and realize that my life is so colorful and blessed after all the trials, aches, and pains of being a mom, wife, and mompreneur!

4. INDULGE
I indulge in eating my comfort foods or give myself a small token in times of stress or whenever I accomplish something. It makes me happy, rewarded and satisfied!

5. REFLECT
Counting my blessings takes away my negative thoughts. Seeing all the goodness in everything and accepting the Lord's will make me a whole person again.

6.   GO OUT ALONE
I cancelled a lot of invitations from friends because of my very busy schedule.  When I accept invitations, my kids and hubby come along. It should not be that way always. I give myself time to go out with my close friends ALONE once in a while. I do this on a weekend when my husband can look after our kids. I am so blessed that he is the one encouraging me to do this.

There are topics which you can talk about that is between you and your friend only. There are no kids to tug you and keep on telling you that they want to go to the toy store or go home already. In short, no distractions!

7. CALL, SEND AN E-MAIL OR A TEXT MESSAGE
When I can't see my friends in person, sending them e-mail or text message or giving them a call makes me rejuvinated! It feels good to know that they are okay and they make me feel better.

8. WATCH A MOVIE
I don't have time watching movies, but when I do I make sure that I do it with my family at home. Popcorn + nice movie = quieting, relaxing, and resting time. HAPPINESS!

9. ORGANIZE
Organizing my stuff makes me feel that I accomplish something new and  big!

10. PRAY
The Lord will not give me trials that I can't handle.
When I pray and offer all my pains, joys, activities, sacrifices as I start the day, all things go smoothly.

I am not a super woman but I am doing my best to become the best mom, wife, and mompreneur!
Experiencing frustrations and pains is a part of life! All I can do is to accept challenges but not forgetting to love myself more so that I can really be the best that I can be and give love in return! :)
